DESCRIPTION: ...The National Weather Service in Fort Worth TX has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas... East Fork Trinity River At McKinney affecting Collin County. Sister Grove Creek Near Blue Ridge affecting Collin County. Trinity River At Trinidad affecting Navarro and Henderson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sister Grove Creek near Blue Ridge. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Minor out of bank flooding along the creek is expected. Rural roads, along with farm and ranch land near the creek, will begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 23.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 24.0 feet. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 25.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon.

Freezing rain is a condition where precipitation which has fallen in the form of
water droplets reaches temperatures which are below freezing and freezes upon
coming into contact
with surface objects. The result of this precipitation is a glaze of ice which
can be damaging to plants and man-made structures. A severe onset of freezing
rain which results in a very thick glaze of ice is known as an ice storm.

Hail is a form of precipitation which is recognized by large solid balls or
clumps of ice. Hail is created by thunderstorm clouds with strong updrafts of wind.
As the hailstones remain in the updraft, ice is deposited onto them until their
weight becomes heavy enough for them to fall to the earth's surface.
Hail storms can cause significant damage to crops, aircrafts, and man-made structures,
