DESCRIPTION: ...The National Weather Service in Paducah KY has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois... Skillet Fork River at Wayne City .Four to six inches of rain has fallen across the Skillet Fork River basin, which will lead to minor flood development. The river is forecast to crest near 16.1 feet Sunday morning. For the Skillet Fork River...including Wayne City...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Skillet Fork River at Wayne City. * WHEN...From late tonight to early Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly bottomland and surrounding low lying areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 6.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 16.2 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Evaporation is the transformation of liquid into gas, and it happens because
molecules are excited by the application of energy and turn into vapor.
In order for water to evaporate it has to be on the surface of a body of water.

A fractus cloud (scud) is a fragmented, tattered cloud which has
likely been sheared off of another cloud. They are accessory clouds, meaning they
develop from parent clouds, and are named in a way which describes the original
cloud which contained them.
Fractus clouds which have originated from cumulus clouds are referred to as
cumulus fractus, while fractus clouds which have originated from stratus clouds
are referred to as stratus fractus. Under certain conditions a fractus cloud might
merge with another cloud, or develop into a cumulus cloud, but usually a
fractus cloud seen by itself will dissipate rapidly.
They are often observed on the leading and trailing edges of storm clouds,
and are a display of wind activity.
