DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Trinity River near Moss Bluff affecting Liberty and Chambers Counties. Trinity River at Liberty affecting Liberty County. Trinity River at Riverside affecting San Jacinto, Walker, Polk and Trinity Counties. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Romayor, Goodrich, Liberty, Moss Bluff...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River at Riverside. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 136.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage. The lowest homes in the Green Rich Shores Subdivision are flooded and Thomas Lake Road is inundated and impassable. Low-lying roads in the Deep River Plantation Subdivision are inundated. The lowest roads into properties off FM 980 northwest of Riverside are inundated and the lowest buildings are threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 135.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 133.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 135.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 134.2 feet Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 133.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 135.6 feet on 02/14/2010. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A fractus cloud (scud) is a fragmented, tattered cloud which has
likely been sheared off of another cloud. They are accessory clouds, meaning they
develop from parent clouds, and are named in a way which describes the original
cloud which contained them.
Fractus clouds which have originated from cumulus clouds are referred to as
cumulus fractus, while fractus clouds which have originated from stratus clouds
are referred to as stratus fractus. Under certain conditions a fractus cloud might
merge with another cloud, or develop into a cumulus cloud, but usually a
fractus cloud seen by itself will dissipate rapidly.
They are often observed on the leading and trailing edges of storm clouds,
and are a display of wind activity.

Graupel is a form of precipitation that is created by atmospheric conditions
which cause supercooled water droplets to contact snow crystals and freeze to
their surface.
Sometimes known as soft hail or snow pellets, graupel is delicate and easily
destroyed by touch. Whereas hail usually falls during severe weather, graupel
doesn't require such conditions to form, and can form in mild precipitation
similar to situations which produce snowfall.
