DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana...Mississippi... Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Tensas, Warren, Jefferson, Claiborne and Madison Counties. Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Concordia, Wilkinson and Adams Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Vicksburg. * WHEN...Until late Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 44.0 feet, Ford and Kings Subdivision at Pittman Road and Mary's Alley begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 44.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday morning and continue falling to 30.9 feet Thursday, June 05. - Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
INSTRUCTION: Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
