Southeastern Red River County in northeastern Texas... Northern Titus County in northeastern Texas... * Until 415 PM CDT. * At 327 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northwest of Mount Vernon, or 9 miles southwest of Hagansport, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Mount Pleasant, Hagansport, Wilkerson, Talco and Harts Bluff.
INSTRUCTION: Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT Sunday for a portion of northeast Texas.

A nimbostratus cloud is similar to a stratus cloud in its formless,
smooth appearance. However, a nimbostratus cloud is darker than a stratus cloud,
because it is thicker.
Unlike a stratus cloud, a nimbostratus cloud typically brings with it the threat
of moderate to heavy precipitation. In some cases, the precipitation may evaporate
before reaching the ground, a phenomenon known as virga.

Precipitation in the form of water droplets is called rain.

cities is 30% greater.
