DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 114 to 118 degrees expected. * WHERE...Coachella Valley and San Diego County Deserts. * WHEN...From 10 AM Wednesday to 8 PM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. Risk for heat-related illnesses for most individuals sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.
INSTRUCTION: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
