DESCRIPTION: The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a * Dust Advisory for... South central Sierra County in south central New Mexico... West central Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... * Until 700 PM MDT. * At 553 PM MDT, an area of blowing dust was over Hatch. HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong winds up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Detected by National Weather Service meteorologists. IMPACT...Hazardous travel. * This includes Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 29 and 51. Locations impacted include... Hatch, Rincon, Salem, Derry, Garfield, Rinconcito, Angostura, Plactias, Rodey, and Peaceful Valley.
INSTRUCTION: Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your foot off the brake. Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the
cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense.
The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although
most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.
Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types.
They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
