DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Frio River At Concan affecting Uvalde County. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Frio River Below Dry Frio affecting Uvalde County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Frio River below Dry Frio. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Major flooding of crop and pastureland, traps livestock and can drown them. Secondary and primary roads and low bridges are flooded and dangerous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 7.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this afternoon to 16.6 feet late this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning to 6.8 feet late tomorrow evening. It will rise to 7.2 feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.9 feet on 09/16/1991. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground. Similar to cirrocumulus clouds, altocumulus clouds are
characterized by cloud patches. They are distinguished by larger cloudlets
than cirrocumulus clouds but are still smaller than stratocumulus clouds.
Altocumulus clouds most commonly form in middle altitudes (between 2 and 5 km)
and may resemble, at times, the shape of a flying saucer.
These uncommon formations, called altocumulus lenticularis, are created by uplift
in the atmosphere and are most often seen in close proximity to mountains.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
