DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa... Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water affects businesses along the river near Calamus. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon or evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
INSTRUCTION: Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. A nimbostratus cloud is similar to a stratus cloud in its formless,
smooth appearance. However, a nimbostratus cloud is darker than a stratus cloud,
because it is thicker.
Unlike a stratus cloud, a nimbostratus cloud typically brings with it the threat
of moderate to heavy precipitation. In some cases, the precipitation may evaporate
before reaching the ground, a phenomenon known as virga.
