DESCRIPTION: ...The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas... Guadalupe River at Hunt affecting Kerr County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast based on forecast rainfall amounts. * WHERE...Guadalupe River at Hunt. * WHEN...From this morning to tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding puts a few feet of water over the Highway 39 bridge near Hunt. Numerous secondary roads and bridges are flooded and very dangerous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:20 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 8.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this morning to 14.6 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this evening to 9.2 feet just after midnight tonight. This is based on forecast rainfall amounts. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.9 feet on 10/09/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening by 845 PM CDT.

Stratus clouds are similar to altostratus clouds, but form at a
lower altitude and are identified by their fog-like appearance, lacking the
distinguishing features of most clouds.
Stratus clouds are wider than most clouds, and their base has a smooth, uniform
look which is lighter in color than a nimbostratus cloud.
The presence of a stratus cloud indicates the possibility of minor precipitation,
such as drizzle, but heavier precipitation does not typically arrive in the form
of a stratus cloud.

Similar to cirrocumulus clouds, altocumulus clouds are
characterized by cloud patches. They are distinguished by larger cloudlets
than cirrocumulus clouds but are still smaller than stratocumulus clouds.
Altocumulus clouds most commonly form in middle altitudes (between 2 and 5 km)
and may resemble, at times, the shape of a flying saucer.
These uncommon formations, called altocumulus lenticularis, are created by uplift
in the atmosphere and are most often seen in close proximity to mountains.
