Marais Des Cygnes River at La Cygne affecting Linn County. Marais Des Cygnes River near Trading Post affecting Bates and Linn Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River near Trading Post. * WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Flooding of low-lying farmland occurs and water begins to approach Stateline Road north of the river gauge. At 29.0 feet, Stateline Road is flooded north of the river gauge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 35.2 feet Friday morning. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A nimbostratus cloud is similar to a stratus cloud in its formless,
smooth appearance. However, a nimbostratus cloud is darker than a stratus cloud,
because it is thicker.
Unlike a stratus cloud, a nimbostratus cloud typically brings with it the threat
of moderate to heavy precipitation. In some cases, the precipitation may evaporate
before reaching the ground, a phenomenon known as virga.

Precipitation in the form of water droplets is called rain.

cities is 30% greater.
