Trinity River at Riverside affecting Trinity, San Jacinto, Walker and Polk Counties. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Navasota River near Normangee affecting Madison, Brazos and Grimes Counties. For the Trinity River...including Riverside...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Navasota River...including Normangee...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Navasota River near Normangee. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding continues with widespread inundation of the floodplain in the vicinity of the gage with the river more than 1 mile wide. Long Trussel Road in northeast Brazos County below State Highway 21 is threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:00 PM CDT Saturday was 15.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.7 feet late this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.7 feet on 05/22/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Freezing rain is a condition where precipitation which has fallen in the form of
water droplets reaches temperatures which are below freezing and freezes upon
coming into contact
with surface objects. The result of this precipitation is a glaze of ice which
can be damaging to plants and man-made structures. A severe onset of freezing
rain which results in a very thick glaze of ice is known as an ice storm.

Hail is a form of precipitation which is recognized by large solid balls or
clumps of ice. Hail is created by thunderstorm clouds with strong updrafts of wind.
As the hailstones remain in the updraft, ice is deposited onto them until their
weight becomes heavy enough for them to fall to the earth's surface.
Hail storms can cause significant damage to crops, aircrafts, and man-made structures,
