Youngs Creek at Amity. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Newberry. .Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across central Indiana as of early Wednesday morning. Up to 2 inches have fallen in south-central Indiana. This has led creeks to rise above flood stage and rivers will follow in the coming days. Additional rain is in the forecast over the next several days. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Youngs Creek at Amity. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Significant flooding in progress. Parks and some local roads are flooded by a foot or more of water. Agricultural flooding is noticeable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:15 AM EST Wednesday the stage was 9.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:15 AM EST Wednesday was 9.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 9.9 feet this afternoon. Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
