DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Snow and mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches, mainly for northeast Vermont, and ice accumulations from a light glaze up to 0.05 inches. * WHERE...For the Adirondack region of northern New York and from the spine of the Green Mountains eastward in Vermont. * WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow may mix with rain at times this afternoon and evening. Areas of freezing drizzle are expected to develop this evening into tomorrow morning.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
