AREAS AFFECTED: Matagorda Islands; Brazoria Islands; Galveston Island; Bolivar Peninsula
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and minor coastal flooding, especially during times of high tides are expected. * WHERE...Gulf-facing beaches, including the Matagorda Peninsula, Brazoria County beaches, Galveston Island and the Bolivar Peninsula. * WHEN...Through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and beach conditions due to strong rip currents and minor coastal flooding. Persistent strong southeasterly winds will continue to bring a high risk of strong rip currents and increased wave runup along all Gulf facing beaches.
INSTRUCTION: Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
