DESCRIPTION: ... FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR CARBON COUNTY... Friday, gusty westerly winds will elevate fire weather concerns with the cured fuels from the lack of moisture. RH values look to range between 8 to 15 percent with winds up to 35 mph possible for elevated fire weather concerns for Carbon County. The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect Friday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 421.Fire weather zone 422.Fire weather zone 423.Fire weather zone 425.Fire weather zone 427. * WIND... Westerly at 20 to 35 mph * HUMIDITY...Below 15 percent with most areas less than 10 * HIGHEST THREAT... Carbon County * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the ground and obscures visibility.

It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets. Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions close to a body of water.

Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
