AREAS AFFECTED: Lincoln, KS
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Localized flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following county, Lincoln. * WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 543 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain has fallen so far. - Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is possible in the warned area through early this morning. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Beverly and Barnard.
INSTRUCTION: Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
