For the Neches River near Alto...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neches River near Alto. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Fishing cabins near the river face flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 21.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:15 AM CDT Friday was 21.3 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 21.7 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall Sunday evening. It will rise to 21.6 feet early Monday afternoon. It will then fall again but remain above flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.9 feet on 05/17/1968. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Similar to cirrocumulus clouds, altocumulus clouds are
characterized by cloud patches. They are distinguished by larger cloudlets
than cirrocumulus clouds but are still smaller than stratocumulus clouds.
Altocumulus clouds most commonly form in middle altitudes (between 2 and 5 km)
and may resemble, at times, the shape of a flying saucer.
These uncommon formations, called altocumulus lenticularis, are created by uplift
in the atmosphere and are most often seen in close proximity to mountains.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
