DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois... Wabash River at Lafayette to Montezuma and. Wabash River at Terre Haute down to Riverton. .Multiple rounds of rainfall have brought lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin. A second...lower crest is expected on the Wabash at Lafayette late Sunday...although the crest is not expected to reach the lower Wabash until the weekend of April 11th. No additional precipitation is expected until possibly Thursday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette. * WHEN...Until Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flood waters approaching Warren CR 350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area. Williamsport Road in Fountain County may begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 14.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM EDT Saturday was 15.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.3 feet tomorrow evening. Altostratus clouds form at mid to high-level altitudes
(between 2 and 7 km) and are created by a warm, stable air mass which causes
water vapor
to condense as it rise through the atmosphere. Usually altostratus clouds are
featureless sheets characterized by a uniform color.
In some cases, wind punching through the cloud formation may give it a waved
appearance, called altostratus undulatus. Altostratus clouds
are commonly seen with other cloud formations accompanying them.

Cirrostratus clouds are high, thin clouds that form above
20,000 feet and are made mostly of ice crystals. They sometimes look like giant
feathers, horse tails, or curls of hair in the sky.
These clouds are pushed by the jet stream and can move at high speeds reaching
100 mph.
