DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Due to rainfall totals around 5 inches between Monday and Friday morning, flooding continues along the La Crosse River and its tributaries and in other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * WHERE...A portion of west central Wisconsin, including the following county, La Crosse. * WHEN...Until 600 AM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding along the La Crosse River and its tributaries and in other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1244 PM CDT, flooding continues along the La Crosse River and its tributaries due to rainfall totals around 5 inches between Monday and Friday morning - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional significant rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... La Crosse, Onalaska, West Salem, Bangor, Rockland, Lake Neshonoc, Veterans Memorial Park, north side Of La Crosse, and the La Crosse marsh. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the ground and obscures visibility.

It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets. Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions close to a body of water.

Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
