DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. Neosho River near Parsons affecting Neosho and Labette Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County. Neosho River near Chanute affecting Neosho and Allen Counties. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River at Iola affecting Allen County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Erie. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, The road 7 miles northwest of Erie at 190th Road just west of Big Creek becomes flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 30.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.

INSTRUCTION: Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this afternoon at 230 PM CDT.

A contrail is an artificial cloud, created by the passing of an aircraft.

Contrails form because water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines is suspended in the air under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. These contrails are called exhaust contrails.

Another type of contrail can form due to a temporary reduction in air pressure moving over the plane's surface, causing condensation. These are called aerodynamic contrails.

When you can see your breath on a cold day, it is also because of condensation. The reason contrails last longer than the condensation from your breath is because the water in contrails freezes into ice particles.
