Yazoo River At Yazoo City affecting Yazoo County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Yazoo River at Yazoo City. * WHEN...Until late Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Minor over bank is flooding is occurring along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 29.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.0 feet early Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. A nimbostratus cloud is similar to a stratus cloud in its formless,
smooth appearance. However, a nimbostratus cloud is darker than a stratus cloud,
because it is thicker.
Unlike a stratus cloud, a nimbostratus cloud typically brings with it the threat
of moderate to heavy precipitation. In some cases, the precipitation may evaporate
before reaching the ground, a phenomenon known as virga.

Precipitation in the form of water droplets is called rain.
