DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 115 degrees. * WHERE...Coachella Valley and San Diego County Deserts. * WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Widespread Major HeatRisk. Major HeatRisk indicates these conditions will be dangerous to anyone without proper hydration or adequate cooling, in addition to those who are heat-sensitive.
INSTRUCTION: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Cumulus clouds are fluffy and textured with rounded tops, and
may have flat bottoms. The border of a cumulus cloud
is clearly defined, and can have the appearance of cotton or cauliflower.
Cumulus clouds form at low altitudes (rarely above 2 km) but can grow very tall,
becoming cumulus congestus and possibly the even taller cumulonimbus clouds.
When cumulus clouds become taller, they have a greater chance of producing precipitation.
