DESCRIPTION: FFWTWC The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 1215 AM MST. * At 947 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area south of Three Points and west of Green Valley. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Green Valley and Three Points. This includes the following highways... Route 86 between mile markers 142 and 150. Route 286 between mile markers 25 and 44. This includes the following streams and drainages... Fresno Wash, Bolas Blancas Wash, Cerro Prieto Wash, Mendoza Wash, Soto Wash, Old Junction Wash, Sabino Wash, Sopori Wash, South Mendoza Wash, Santa Cruz River, Contreras Wash, Peitas Wash, Demetrie Wash, Banner Wash, Altar Wash, Brawley Wash, Champurrado Wash, Alambre Wash, Saucito Wash, Brown Wash and Solano Wash.

INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense. The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.

Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types. They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are smaller than raindrops.

Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle, a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface. Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
