DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... San Saba River At San Saba affecting San Saba County. For the San Saba River...including Brady, Menard, San Saba...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...San Saba River at San Saba. * WHEN...Until early Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding will occur. Secondary roads and low water crossings will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 8.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 26.3 feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 26.8 feet on 05/10/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. Evaporation is the transformation of liquid into gas, and it happens because
molecules are excited by the application of energy and turn into vapor.
In order for water to evaporate it has to be on the surface of a body of water.

A fractus cloud (scud) is a fragmented, tattered cloud which has
likely been sheared off of another cloud. They are accessory clouds, meaning they
develop from parent clouds, and are named in a way which describes the original
cloud which contained them.
Fractus clouds which have originated from cumulus clouds are referred to as
cumulus fractus, while fractus clouds which have originated from stratus clouds
are referred to as stratus fractus. Under certain conditions a fractus cloud might
merge with another cloud, or develop into a cumulus cloud, but usually a
fractus cloud seen by itself will dissipate rapidly.
They are often observed on the leading and trailing edges of storm clouds,
and are a display of wind activity.
