Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties. Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Chippewa, Yellow Medicine and Lac qui Parle Counties. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Minnesota... Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Nicollet, Blue Earth and Brown Counties. .Rivers are at crest or are continue to recede. No significant precipitation is in the forecast over the next several days. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Minnesota River near Jordan. * WHEN...Until Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the river begin to flood and private sanitary sewers may experience problems. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 945 AM CDT Monday, the stage was 25.4 feet. - River levels are steady. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Thursday afternoon and continue falling to 22.5 feet Monday, September 01. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 25.5 feet on 04/06/1984.

Cirrocumulus Clouds Next Topic: Cirrostratus Clouds

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km) and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as "cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.

Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud formations generally pass rapidly.
