AREAS AFFECTED: Jennings
DESCRIPTION: At 1124 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm producing a cold air funnel over North Vernon, or 14 miles east of Seymour, moving east at 20 mph. Cold air funnels typically do not reach the ground, but if they do they cause little to no damage. HAZARD...Cold air funnels and winds in excess of 30 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... North Vernon, Vernon, Country Squire Lakes, Butlerville, and Nebraska.
INSTRUCTION: If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
