For the Sac River...including Caplinger Mills...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sac River near Caplinger Mills. * WHEN...Until Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, moderate Flood Stage. Flood waters reach approximately three feet in depth at the Caplinger Mills Campground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 PM CDT Wednesday was 17.9 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon to 11.2 feet early Saturday morning. It will then rise to 11.8 feet Saturday evening. It will fall to 11.6 feet early Sunday morning. It will then rise to 13.9 feet early Monday morning. Cumulus clouds are fluffy and textured with rounded tops, and
may have flat bottoms. The border of a cumulus cloud
is clearly defined, and can have the appearance of cotton or cauliflower.
Cumulus clouds form at low altitudes (rarely above 2 km) but can grow very tall,
becoming cumulus congestus and possibly the even taller cumulonimbus clouds.
When cumulus clouds become taller, they have a greater chance of producing precipitation.
