DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Neosho River at Iola affecting Allen County. Neosho River near Chanute affecting Neosho and Allen Counties. Neosho River near Parsons affecting Neosho and Labette Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County. Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Chanute. * WHEN...From Wednesday morning to early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 28.5 feet, Flood waters may flow across old Highway 169 north of Chanute. Agricultural flooding will also occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 11.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 27.8 feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
INSTRUCTION: Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued late tonight at 345 AM CDT.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
