Big Blue River at Carthage. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following waterways in Indiana... Buck Creek at Acton. Flatrock River at Saint Paul. Mill Creek near Cataract. Youngs Creek at Amity. Sugar Creek near Edinburgh. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Big Blue River at Shelbyville. Eel River at Bowling Green. ...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Indiana... Clifty Creek at Hartsville. .Flooding has ended at Clifty Creek at Hartsville and the downward fall of the creek level is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. Total rainfall amounts of 3 to over 5 inches of rain across much of central and southern Indiana is bringing widespread flooding. Additional rainfall over the weekend and next week could lengthen the amount of time the river remains in flood. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sugar Creek near Edinburgh. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Flood waters in at least one cabin and is about to enter several more near Sugar Creek. Extensive flooding of Sugar Creek in Atterbury Fish and Wildlife Area. Water approaching and possibly on portions of River Road north of Old Hospital Road and CR 650S. Flooding of agricultural land near SR 252 along a small tributary to Sugar Creek and of some county roads upstream of CR 650S. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 PM EST Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 PM EST Thursday was 14.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Hail is a form of precipitation which is recognized by large solid balls or
clumps of ice. Hail is created by thunderstorm clouds with strong updrafts of wind.
As the hailstones remain in the updraft, ice is deposited onto them until their
weight becomes heavy enough for them to fall to the earth's surface.
Hail storms can cause significant damage to crops, aircrafts, and man-made structures,
despite the fact that the duration is usually less than ten minutes.

A mammatus cloud is a cloud with a unique feature which resembles
a web of pouches hanging along the base of the cloud.
In the United States, mammatus clouds tend to form in the warmer months, commonly
in the Midwest and eastern regions.
While they usually form at the bottom of a cumulonimbis cloud, they can also form
under altostratus, altocumulus, stratocumulus, and cirrus clouds. Mammatus clouds
warn that severe weather is close.
