DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana...Mississippi... Mississippi River At Donaldsonville affecting Ascension Parish. Mississippi River At Baton Rouge affecting East Baton Rouge and West Baton Rouge Parishes. Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting Pointe Coupee, East Baton Rouge and West Feliciana Parishes. Pearl River Near Pearl River affecting St. Tammany, Hancock and Pearl River Counties. Pearl River Near Bogalusa affecting Washington and Pearl River Counties. For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville...Moderate flooding is forecast. For the Lower Pearl River...including Bogalusa, Pearl River...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge. * WHEN...Until Thursday, May 29. * IMPACTS...At 38.0 feet, River traffic and industrial activity on the river side of the levees will be greatly affected. Navigational safety regulations will be strictly enforced. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 37.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 38.0 feet Monday evening. Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
