DESCRIPTION: ...The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kansas... Whitewater River at Towanda affecting Butler County. Whitewater River at Augusta affecting Cowley and Butler Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Whitewater River at Towanda. * WHEN...From this evening to late Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Water level reaches about 2 ft on property 1 mile upstream, on east side of the river around River Valley Road. More extensive flooding of cropland can be expected. Many county roads in low areas will be inundated near the vicinity of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 27.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
INSTRUCTION: Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued late tonight at 330 AM CDT.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
