DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Wildcat Creek near Jerome to Lafayette. Wabash River at Montezuma. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Ravenswood. .Rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches across portions of central Indiana late Friday into early Saturday continues to produce minor flooding along area creeks and rivers. Flooding along Wildcat Creek and Wabash River will gradually diminish over the next 24-48 hours. Flooding along the White River at Ravenswood will end by Sunday night. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of Montezuma begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 14.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Sunday was 14.1 feet. - Forecast...The river will continue to oscillate between 14 and 15 feet over the next 48 hours before falling below flood stage Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Altostratus clouds form at mid to high-level altitudes (between 2 and 7 km) and are created by a warm, stable air mass which causes water vapor to condense as it rise through the atmosphere. Usually altostratus clouds are featureless sheets characterized by a uniform color.

In some cases, wind punching through the cloud formation may give it a waved appearance, called altostratus undulatus. Altostratus clouds are commonly seen with other cloud formations accompanying them.

Cirrostratus clouds are high, thin clouds that form above 20,000 feet and are made mostly of ice crystals. They sometimes look like giant feathers, horse tails, or curls of hair in the sky. These clouds are pushed by the jet stream and can move at high speeds reaching 100 mph.
