Big Sioux River near Estelline affecting Hamlin and Brookings Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Medary Creek near Medary. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 1589.0 feet, moderate flooding of pasture and crop land begins, water is over the top of the culvert on 474th Avenue, 216th Street floods near 474th Avenue, and water reaches the bottom of the bridge on 475th Avenue. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 1588.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:15 AM CDT Monday was 1588.8 feet. - Forecast...No forecast is available for this location. - Flood stage is 1588.0 feet. - Stay up to date with the latest river observations and forecasts at: www.water.noaa.gov

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km) and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as "cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.

Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud formations generally pass rapidly.
