Colorado River above Grand Lake affecting Grand County. .Heavy rain Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning may fall on a primed snowpack leading to additional runoff. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and produce minor flooding. * WHAT...Flooding is possible. * WHERE...Colorado River above Grand Lake. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon to Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Considerable lowland flooding occurs with trails and foot bridges along and crossing the river flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 PM MDT Saturday the stage was 6.6 feet. - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached Monday evening. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
