Big Sioux River Near Castlewood affecting Hamlin County. .For sites with a river forecast, the forecast includes precipitation through the next 24 hours. Any future precipitation could affect the forecasts. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Sioux River near Castlewood. * WHEN...Until late Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Significant amounts of pasture and other agricultural lands will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:45 AM CDT Saturday was 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.1 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km) and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as "cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.

Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud formations generally pass rapidly.
