Tombigbee River At Gainesville Lock and Dam affecting Marengo, Sumter and Greene Counties. .Flooding is possible on the Tombigbee River and a flood warning remains in effect. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Tombigbee River at Gainesville Lock and Dam. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon to early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 101.0 feet, Flooding of low lying agricultural and wooded lands in the area occurs. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 94.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 101.4 feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 101.0 feet.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
