River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Kaskaskia River at Carlyle. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 18.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 AM CDT Saturday was 18.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Monday morning and continue falling to 12.4 feet Saturday, May 17. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
