DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Illinois... Missouri... Mississippi River at Hannibal. Mississippi River at Louisiana. Mississippi River at Clarksville. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Louisiana. * WHEN...Until Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, The first quarter mile of Edison Avenue beyond the railroad tracks begins flooding near this height. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 15.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 15.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.7 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

A contrail is an artificial cloud, created by the passing of an
aircraft.
Contrails form because water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines is suspended
in the air under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. These contrails
are called exhaust contrails.
Another type of contrail can form due to a temporary reduction in air pressure
moving over the plane's surface, causing condensation.
These are called aerodynamic contrails.
When you can see your breath on a cold day, it is also because of condensation.
The reason contrails last longer than the condensation from your breath is
because the water in contrails freezes into ice particles.
