For the Rabbit Creek...including Kilgore...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rabbit Creek at Kilgore. * WHEN...Until Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Expect flooded trails and a private boat launch. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 8.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 12.0 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A contrail is an artificial cloud, created by the passing of an
aircraft.
Contrails form because water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines is suspended
in the air under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. These contrails
are called exhaust contrails.
Another type of contrail can form due to a temporary reduction in air pressure
moving over the plane's surface, causing condensation.
These are called aerodynamic contrails.
When you can see your breath on a cold day, it is also because of condensation.
The reason contrails last longer than the condensation from your breath is
because the water in contrails freezes into ice particles.
