AREAS AFFECTED: Escambia, FL
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Florida, including the following county, Escambia. * WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 630 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, West Pensacola, Ensley, Warrington, Goulding, Myrtle Grove, Brownsville, Avondale, Bellview, Olive, Beach Haven, Pine Forest, Pleasant Grove, Quinavista and Seaglades. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
